Sunday Morning Buttermilk Waffles

  • 1-3/4 c light buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ t pure vanilla extract
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • ½ t baking soda
  • 1-1/2 t baking powder
  • 1 t granulated sugar
  • ½ t kosher salt
  • 4 T unsalted butter melted


  • Whisk together all the ingredients. Using 1/2 cup batter per waffle, cook on a waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. I get eight waffles on my smallish waffle iron. Yields 4 servings.
