Peppered Peas


This little recipe uses canned peas, which should be a travesty. And it is. EXCEPT when you just need a quick, easy, and cheap side dish. And a lot of people do like canned peas – my dad being one of them. Living where I do in Florida, this is also a way I use up older cans from the hurricane stockpile!

Peppered Peas

  • 1 can young, petite peas (such as Baby LeSeure), undrained
  • 3 T unsalted butter
  • freshly ground pepper (lots)

Combine and simmer gently until thickened and saucy.
