Crock-pot Cranberry BBQ Chicken Drummies! Sweet and juicy mini-drumsticks made easily in the slow cooker.
My current cranberry obsession continued tonight in my slow cooker. I’m finding the Cranberry BBQ Sauce I made up last weekend to be just so versatile that I decided to use it for some easy football food.
- 1 recipe Cranberry BBQ Sauce (see *Note)
- 3 lb chicken drummies
- kosher salt
- fresh cracked pepper
- Heat the oven broiler.
- On a rimmed baking sheet, pat the drummies dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper. Broil 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned, turning once.
- Transfer to the slow cooker. Add the Cranberry BBQ Sauce and cook on high 1 hour, then low 2-3 hours. Alternatively, cook on low the whole time for 4-5 hours. Serve.
- If the Cranberry BBQ Sauce is not already prepared, just toss all the ingredients in the crock-pot, mix, then add the drummies after broiling.
